Every section written. Nothing forgotten.

Postmortems, PRDs, RFCs — structured pages are written by many hands, and sections slip through the cracks. Assign & Approve Sections gives each section an owner, a reviewer, and a deadline, and shows "3 of 7 sections complete" right at the top of the page.

The problem

Pages written by everyone get finished by no one.

A postmortem template lands in Confluence, the team is asked to fill it in — and two weeks later three sections still read "TBD". Nobody decided who owned them, so everyone assumed someone else did.

Confluence shows you the page, but not its progress: which sections are empty, which are waiting on review, whose deadline slipped. That accounting lives in someone's head — Assign & Approve Sections puts it at the top of the page instead.

What it does

Six capabilities, built around one job: getting every section to done.

01

Section assignments

Split a page into sections, each with an owner, an optional reviewer, and a due date. "Who writes what" stops being a guess.

02

Progress at the top of the page

Everyone who opens the page sees "3 of 7 sections complete · 43%" — and the bar turns red the moment something is overdue.

03

A lightweight review flow

Sections move through Not started, In progress, In review, and Approved, with change requests routed back to the writer. Status is visible without asking anyone.

04

My Sections dashboard

One list of everything waiting on you across every page — sections to write, reviews to give — sorted by due date, with overdue reminders posted on the page itself.

05

Draft with AI

Stuck on a blank section? Hand your rough notes to Draft with AI and get a clean, structured draft back — in an editable preview, inserted into the page only when you say so. Runs on Atlassian-hosted models, so nothing leaves Atlassian.

06

AI Digest

One click on the dashboard turns everything in flight into a short brief: risks, bottlenecks, and next actions. The team's shared monthly AI allowance is visible to everyone under Team usage — no surprises.

How it works

Step 1

Split the page into sections

Add the Assign & Approve Sections macro to a structured page — a postmortem, PRD, or RFC — and create its sections with owners, reviewers, and deadlines.

Step 2

Everyone writes their part

Owners start their sections and write directly in the page. the app inserts the heading for them and tracks whether real content has landed.

Step 3

Review, approve, done

Reviewers approve sections or send them back with comments. When the bar reaches 100%, the page isn't just published — it's finished.
